We are Building and House Removal Professionals who also specialise in buying and selling used houses which can be relocated directly to your site, repiling, lifting houses for basements and the like. We insure all of the buildings we shift and also offer an optional in-house design service which can help in obtaining your Council consents if you wish.
In 1896, George Jack shifted his first building, in doing so founded the oldest building removal company still in operation in New Zealand today. We are proud to carry on the JACK family name with third and fourth generations currently involved.
You are invited to peruse this website hopefully finding useful information and options to help you start your project.
Try the Process & FAQ link which will answer a lot of your questions about shifting a building.
For details, photos and floor plans of our current stock, follow through the Buildings for sale link.
Be sure to view the Before & After Gallery which shows inspirational examples of what our clients have achieved after their house/building was shifted. This will be added to as we are able.
You will find other useful sections and links along the way, but if you need more information about anything, please feel free to contact us!
The True Colours Charitable Trust House was an existing building that was completely renovated with the generous assistance of 42 sponsors including Jack House Transit Ltd and then auctioned off at the 2008 Waikato Home & Garden Show on 5 October 2008. All profits from this auction go to True Colours to assist their fantastic work supporting children and their families where the children have lifelong or life threatening illnesses. The house sold for $102,500 which included delivery to the new site.
Jack House Transit Ltd is now on Facebook. The aim is to put the new houses for sale for removal onto Facebook. So search for us, become a fan and you will be kept updated as houses come on stream. Or you can go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/business/dashboard/#/pages/Hamilton/Jack-House-T... although you need to be logged onto Facebook at that time for this link to work.
